Domaine de la Belouse is a family winery based in the Maconnais in southern Burgundy. The estate was established in 1970, with just one hectare of vineyard around la Roche Vineuse and Saint Veran. Since then, the estate has grown little by little and now cultivates 42 hectares. In 1999, a cellar was built, comprising new temperature-controlled oak barrels and stainless steel vats. The Domaine is certified Haute Valeur Environmental (HVE), which officially recognises the environmental performance of winegrowers, including biodiversity conservation, plant protection strategies, managed fertiliser use, and water resource management.
