The Montenisa estate is located around the hamlet of Calino, near Lake Iseo in the heart of the Frranciacorta appellation. In 1999, the Antinori Marquises and the Maggi Counts reached agreement on the cultivation of the landed holdings centered on the Maggi family villa; the objective was to produce outstanding Franciacorta sparkling wines from these noble vineyards.
