| Winery | Prosecco sparkling wine is made from the Glera grape variety, recently called ‘Prosecco’. Changes in the laws governing the DOC mean that the grape can no longer bear the same name as the geographical area. The grapes for this wine come from the Treviso area in Veneto, where the vines are planted in alluvial soils and are sustainably cultivated. Cantina Sacchetto is located in the heart of the Veneto region. Founded in 1920, it is run by Filiberto Sacchetto, alongside his son Paolo and daughter Beatrice. Together, they oversee all aspects of the winemaking process with attention, passion and great flexibility, combining tradition with innovation. In 2022, Sacchetto was awarded the Equality Certification, officially recognising social, environmental and economic pillars of sustainability through biodiversity, carbon and water footprint and ecological cultivation practices. Through innovation and investment in modern vinification techniques, the family produces stunning still and sparkling wines for which the Veneto region has become famous. |
