Sena 2014 Magnum

"Deep ruby red with a crimson hue, Seña 2014 is an extremely complex
wine revealing a profound, layered and intense bouquet of red fruit
including raspberry, red cherry combined with cedar, bay leaf, dill and
subtle tobacco notes and a touch of anise, all framed by light aromas of
cocoa and clove. The palate is rich, concentrated and full-bodied exhibiting
abundant, youthful, yet supple tannins and a refined lingering finish."

Sena 2014 Magnum

Seña was created as a joint venture between Eduardo Chadwick and Robert Mondavi back in 1995, with the dream
of making a wine that would show Chile’s full potential, a wine that would be welcomed, in time, among the world’s
First Growths. Modelled on a Bordeaux style, it would have a Chilean soul given by its Carmenere variety, grown
under biodynamic farming principles in the Aconcagua Valley.

The Aconcagua Valley suffered a hard spring frost in September 2013 that caused a great deal of damage to the early
buds and ultimately delayed shoot development and decreased the total number of bunches per plant.
Temperatures increased gradually during the growth period, and shoot development was completed by
mid-November. Average temperatures during flowering and the absence of rainfall resulted in good fruit set, and the
warm and rain-free conditions in early summer enabled a short, even veraison.
Temperatures decreased gradually during the ripening phase in February and March and ultimately dropped below
historical averages. As a result, ripening was slow and well balanced, and the nal wines have very good tension,
massive tannic structure and depth, and excellent aroma and flavour intensity
