- There are notes of chocolate, earth, and spices on the nose, with juicy blackcurrant mint and cocoa on the palate. The finish is well-balanced, lost, and lasting. The Hussonet is a delicious expression of its terroir, which is unique.
Hussonet has an intense ruby-red colour. The nose offers notes of chocolate along with the characteristic aromas of rosemary and bay leaf that distinguish the territory where the grapes are grown. The palate is both concentrated and elegant, with supple and persistent tannins, expressing the quality potential of the Cabernets of Haras de Pique.

Winery | The magnificent Haras de Pirque estate occupies a privileged position at the foot of the Andes in Chile’s Maipo Valley region. The lovingly tended vineyards are on largely north-facing slopes, from the middle of which rises a unique horseshoe-shaped gravity-flow winery inspired by the estate’s other claim to fame: as an internationally renowned thoroughbred breeding farm. Italy’s Antinori family now owns the wine side of Haras de Pirque, their chief winemaking Renzo Cotarella bringing his elegant sensibility to bear while respecting the character of this very particular terroir. The grapes come entirely from the organically managed estate vineyards surrounding the winery. Here, vine varieties are matched to each plot to magnify the quality of the raw material. The grapes were picked by hand. |
