Winemaking and Vineyard
The Ironheart vineyard sits at the highest point of Yangarra’s single-estate property. Its iron-rich sandy soils and north-facing exposure foster optimal ripening conditions for Shiraz, producing fruit with phenomenal colour, texture, and aromatic lift.
The 2019 vintage benefited from low yields and a long, dry growing season, resulting in exceptionally concentrated berries. The wine was fermented with native yeasts, then matured in French oak foudres and puncheons for refinement and balance.
