It is a round and supple wine that delivers notes of fragrant red summer fruits, Complemented by hints of gorgeous spice and subtle Dutch chocolate notes. A wine that is delightful and vibrant yet sophisticated.
The Fox Gordon vineyards are situated on 60 hectares of breathtaking vineyards at Kuitpo Forest in the Adelaide Hills, overlooking the world-famous McLaren Vale. Planted at altitude, the grapes are imbued with lovely cool-climate characteristics. The fruit for this wine is picked from an old single-trellised vineyard, where the vines produce large plump berries.
2017 saw a cool spring with a late budburst. The fruit set was excellent, followed by a warm summer and ideal ripening conditions, resulting in even ripening and high natural acidity.
