- This delicious blend offers aromas of berries, plum and chocolate. The well-balanced palate combines this smooth fruit character with savoury notes and a hint of aniseed, all leading to a long, fruity finish. Both Shiraz and Viognier were co-fermented in static red fermenters. Frequent pump-overs ensured that the two varieties were evenly distributed through the tank. This enabled the Viognier to release what it contributes most to in the blend – good acidity and palate length.
Deakin Estate's vineyards are located in the Big Rivers region, where the mighty rivers weave across the land, bringing life to the region and our vines. Rich, fertile soils and a warm, sunny climate also create a perfect environment for growing quality fruit to make these delicious wines.
