Napa pioneer Dr. George Beldon Crane originally planted one of the top vineyards in California, Beckstoffer’s Dr. Crane Vineyard in 1858. This historic vineyard property is located west of Route 29 in the city of St. Helena. The gravelly loam soils were replanted in 1998 to multiple clones of Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc. The wines from this vineyard are rich, intense, and have a depth of black fruit flavours that are unmatched.
