Haras de Pirque Albis (Organic) 2018
On the nose, the wine has an expression of spices and graphite, classic characteristics of the
Maipo Andes valley. In the mouth it is smooth and elegant, with a very good persistence and long
finish. Albis is a wine capable of expressing itself very well over the years.
Haras de Pirque Albis (Organic) 2018
81% Cabernet Sauvignon
19% Carménère.
Origin
Albis is the result of the union of Cabernet Sauvignon and Carménère. Its name celebrates the dawn of
a new day in viticulture. It represents the union of two hemispheres, the old and the new world, with
the precise intention of creating an elegant and seductive wine in the heart of the Maipo Valley.
The Cabernet Sauvignon and Carménère grapes are vinified separately. After a cold maceration for 5 days,
once the native yeasts are added, a traditional vinification begins with the purpose of exalting the
natural concentration and maturity of the grape, expressing all its qualities. Alcoholic fermentation
and maceration are carried out in French oak vats for a total period of 20 days. The Cabernet Sauvignon
joined the Carménère in December of the same year and kept in new French oak barrels for a total of
18 months.
