- Expressive, up-front, and complex, this wine features ripe red fruits, blackcurrant, and blueberry, supported by spicy undertones of pepper, cinnamon, and delicate hints of garrigue. It is velvety and silky, with concentrated fruit that leads to a balanced finish. Unlike most French regions in 2021, Roussillon, often on the fringes weather-wise, suffered the most severe drought in the last 10 years, barely 200mm over the season. A cold winter resulted in a late budburst. The cool weather continued late spring, however, flowering went well. Water reserves in the soil were in short supply. Fortunately, the summer was not as hot as in the last five years, resulting in a perfectly healthy crop.

16 Pts, Tamlyn Currin, 2023
The wine was made following a philosophy of minimal intervention. The grapes underwent cold fermentation with selected yeasts, lasting two to four days. During the vinification, modern and gentle techniques such as cold soaking were used to extract aromas, colour and structure; no plunging or pumping-over occurred. A gentle pressing was followed by short ageing in stainless steel tanks to preserve the fruit's integrity.
