The grapes are selected from vines in the Tremenalto area north of the Monteforte
d’Alpone where the average age of the vines is 40 years. The soils in this area are
predominantly basaltic, which are rich in minerals. The harvest takes place in the first

wood barrels for approximately nine months. The wine was bottled in the August
following the harvest.
