Producer Note
Based in Emilia-Romagna, Cevico is the second biggest Italian wine producer, representing 18 wineries and with over 6,700 hectares under vine. This is one of the most impressive companies we have ever been to. As well as the benefits of size, Cevico offer a myriad of small estates producing a bewildering array of wines, from both established and lesser-known appellations. Winemaking
The grapes are vinified in white (no skin contact). The juice is exposed to oxygen to remove any traces of pink colour. Fermentation takes place in oak barrels. The wine is aged in oak barrels for 8-10 months followed by a further 6 months in bottle prior to release. Tasting Note
Intense bouquet of fruit combined with creamy oak notes. The wine is elegant, full bodied, with a lingering finish. Serving Suggestion
A wine to be enjoyed with dishes such as fresh pasta with truffle olive oil, tasty grilled poultry, full flavoured fish (tuna, salmon) and seafood
