Delicious flavours of blackberry jam with vanilla notes through to a smooth finish.

Producer Note
In 1962, 19 vine growers from San Marzano, whose families had farmed the land for generations, combined their efforts to establish 'Cantine San Marzano'. Through the decades this cooperative has grown significantly, attracting over 1,200 vine growers, using modern and technologically advanced vinification techniques to produce elegant wines, while paying homage to the ancient Apulian wine traditions. Nowadays, the fusion of time honoured tradition and passion, with contemporary techniques, enables this winery to produce wines with distinctive varietal and regional characteristics, which distinctly reflect the local terroir. In the Sommelier Wine Awards, San Marzano was awarded European Producer of the Year 2017. Vineyard
The vineyard area is approximately 100 metres above sea level, with high average temperatures and medium-low rainfall. The soft soil layer is clayey and quite thin, with a good presence of rocks. Winemaking
Thermo-controlled maceration for about 10 days, followed by the alcoholic fermentation with selected yeasts. Ageing in French oak barrels for six months. Tasting Note
Deep ruby red; intense and complex bouquet with notes of red fruits and spices. A full-bodied wine with delicious flavours of blackberry jam and vanilla notes through to a smooth finish. Serving Suggestion
Red meat, roasted meat with rich sauces and mature cheese.
