The grapes come from selected vineyards in the Nava de Roa district near the Duero river itself The soil is sandY loam with a little gravel. The grapes were harvested by hand.
Fincas Valdemacuco is the first foray outside Rioja for Bodegas Valdemar. This Rioja producer was established in 1889 and has poured over a century of experience into this new venture from Spain’s other great Tempranillo-producing region.
