The vineyard of Château Tourans sits on the

slopes of Saint-Etienne-de-Lisse where it

enjoys maximum exposure to the midday

sun and excellent natural drainage. It has well

balanced soils that have a good mix of clay

and limestone content. Average age of vines

is over 30 years. These exceptional attributes

lead to it being acquired by Peter Kwok in

2015 – the first Asian entrepreneur to invest in

a broad portfolio of Bordeaux châteaux. They

have been certified for sustainable agriculture

and winemaking since 2011.

Winemaking

Traditional fermentation in stainless steel

vats followed by 70% ageing in barrels and

30% stainless steel tanks to offer a wine with

vibrancy and elegant oak profile.
