The colour is a very deep dark red. The aroma is characterised by ripe, concentrated berries, spice and herbs. Olive, plum, currant, menthol and chocolate just for starters. Then earth, sage and a little vanilla bean pokes out between the toasty oak. Not your typical cabernet, this is a ripe, inky, muscular specimen that eats rump steak for breakfast. The palate has great length and acidity with firm, grippy tannins and ample fruit weight bringing it all together.
