The Fox Gordon estate vineyards are located in the Adelaide Hills, overlooking McLaren Vale. Nestled in a natural amphitheatre, the vines are planted at an elevation of 380 metres above sea level, where cooling breezes from the ocean less than 18 kilometres away influences the microclimate. The vines are approximately 14 years old and are planted at the top of a hill at an altitude of 480 metres above sea level. It is a rocky site, which suits this very vigorous variety as the site has very little top soil, slowing down the vigour
