2018 Charmes-Chambertin: (from a 1.47 ha holding of roughly 25+-year-old vines that combines .61 ha in Charmes with .86 ha in Mazoyres; this is now seeing 20% new wood as of 2017 whereas before it saw none). A very ripe yet still quite fresh nose is comprised of notes of plum liqueur, newly turned earth, violet, and a whiff of the sauvage, all of which are trimmed in just enough wood to mention.
