The Arizu family has been making wine in Mendoza since 1901; four generations later it is one of the few wineries in Argentina that is still owned by its founders. Today it is one of Argentinas leading estates, famed for its involvement in the creation of the Luján de Cuyo D.O.C - the first recognised D.O.C. in Argentina. Luigi Bosca owns seven vineyards located in the province of Mendoza, centred around the district capital of Luján de Cuyo which covers more than 700 hectares. Some of the varietals grown here date back to the late 19th century, when they were first brought over from Europe. The winemakers have adopted a laissez faire approach to viticulture: thanks to Mendozas low humidity, pure mountain water and fresh breezes, minimum intervention is required. In the vineyard, the viticultural team apply biodynamic principles across the estate, though they do not hold certification.

Serve with cheeses such as Grana Padano, or big flavoured meats such as venison.
