Portuguese Red

An obsession among many wine enthusiasts and it is easy to see why. The Portuguese arguably make some of the most flavoursome red wines in the world. The Quinta Do Crasto is as close to perfection in a bottle as you can get. Made up of nearly 30 grape varieties, it is ideal for very special occasions and pairs beautifully with slow-cooked beef or lamb dishes and absolutely should be sampled with a rich blue cheese. Even the Prunus Dao Tinto is a delightful, silky alternative, bursting with berries while creamy overtones compliment it perfectly. Portuguese red wine is quite simply a must-try!

Prunus Dao Tinto 2016

A rich and intense red, reminiscent of the Dão region's beloved Cova da Beira cherries: a fruit so renowned that festivals are held in their honour.

This wine is crafted to capture the elegance and freshness of Cova da Beira. It offers "elegance on a grand scale" according to Gota Wines, with "flavours that captivate and seduce".

The flavour profile is to be truly savoured. Plums, berries, and anise on the nose; black cherry with creamy and chocolatey oak flavours on the palate.

Gota means drop, and in each drop they try to capture authentic Portuguese flavours, traditions, pleasures, and fun.

Perfect for picnics.
