Chile is world renowned for producing wines of exceptional quality without a hefty price tag. Due to its 2,700-mile coastline, Chile produces wines that are both fruity and herbaceous which reminds one of the classic French wines. In fact, winemakers from the Bordeaux region have heavily invested in the South American country, making Chilean Cabernet Sauvignon a household favourite.

Due to the Mediterranean-style warmth and cool nights of the Central Valley, Chile is able to produce an astonishing range of wines of astounding quality. Standouts include the elegant Vina Ventolera Pinot Noir produced in the San Antonio Region or the intense Ventisquero Pangea produced in the Colchagua Valley.

This iconic Merlot has an expressive nose, with fresh black fruit aromas, spices, red pepper and bitter chocolate. The palate is smooth and well balanced, with a generous structure and a long finish. The wine was aged for nine months in French oak barrels, with fifty-nine percent new wood, and was then bottled without fining, and only the lightest of filtrations.

Ventisquero Pangea 2014

Pangea  is  an  intense  dark  colour.  The  nose  features  delicious, complex aromas which fully reflect a Syrah from the Apalta Valley, with notes of black fruit, like blueberries, harmoniously intermingled with spices like black pepper, mineral notes, like graphite, which are very typical of this terroir, which has granitic soils with high levels of quartz. A wine of ripe, firm tannins, great structure and acidity, this wine  is  at  its  best  if  decanted  before  serving.  This  wine  has  an  exceptional combination of concentration, flavours and aromas.
